Dukes Take Action

I will thrilled to see my Library at JMU taking action to promote the importance of pollinators. With signs sharing important facts such as "90% of the World's wild plants depend on pollinators to reproduce" or "One in three bites of food we eat is courtesy of insect pollination" it is increasing awareness of the issue at hand. Thanks to a list of actions us students can take it makes correcting the issue simpler. There was also access to books written just for the community about pollinators. Awareness has been made- now action must be taken.

JMU BEEKEEPING CLUB

It just so happened I had stumbled across a flyer in the same day promoting "JMU Beekeepers" a club to bee keep on JMU's campus, spread awareness about the importance of bees, and increase the local population of bees throughout harrisonburg. Now, we've taken our awareness and made it possible to take action, with a little help from this club.
